Palermo Viejo - also known as Palermo Soho, due to its similarities with the homonym neighbourhood of New York City - a sprawling area with lots of shops and a vibrating cultural life. The neighbourhood also hosts book stores, music stores and antiques, and decoration shops. A truly bohemian spirit blends with history in this neighbourhood that once had Jorge Luis Borges as one of its most illustrious inhabitants. Palermo is also well known for its Arts Fair wich shows the work of artits and artisans, a must for all visitors who wish to enjoy the artsy side of Buenos Aires.
