- “I would highly recommend Luba’s tango guesthouse as an ideal place to stay for a tango enthusiast. The Palermo neighbhorhood where the guesthouse is located is very safe. Milongas and tango classes in clubs such as Salon Canning, Villa Malcolm and La Viruta are within a 20 minute walking distance. A dance studio which can be rented by the hour is just a couple of blocks off the guesthouse. There are plenty of restaurants, internet cafes, banks, and ATMs nearby.
The access to public transport(subte,buses and taxi) is excellent. Also, Palermo is considerably less touristy and has excellent shopping. Plus Luba is a gracious hostess and does her best to make her guests (especially non-Spanish speakers) at home in Buenos Aires”

She was full of helpful information, and very kind in making sure that I (single girl traveling alone) was having a good time and finding things to do. Importantly, Luba is very organized about the logistics for staying with her, which is not always the case elsewhere, and makes things go much more smoothly. Also, I should mention that she let me speak solely in spanish with her, and didn’t try to practice her english with me, like a lot of locals do (though I have a suspicion her english is superb!). The apartment location is ideal for walking in Palermo, jogging in the park, and catching a bus, subway, or taxi.”

Luba is a great hostess and her rooms are clean and very comfortable. Her house is in a safe neighborhood, close to the subway and within walking distance of one of my favorite milongas, Salon Canning. I have met interesting people at her house throughout the years and it is great to see people coming back to her always. In addition to being a warm hostess, she is very funny and very gracious with her guests. Staying at her house is like being at home and I have recommended many people to stay at her place when they come to B.A. The room prices are very fair and it includes breakfast as well as the service of a cleaning lady who comes everyday. “
